Making intarsia is always a challenge.

I now see what you were talking about. It looks like the pieces were cut as a segmentation piece and did not flow with the rest of the project. The correction you made makes it look a lot better.
I do not know the sizes of your pieces and do not advocate a change but we did a Indian Chief one time and did the feathers by gluing two pieces of pine together with the grain at an angle. The feather pattern was then glued and the center line, of the feather, aligned as close as possible to the center of the wood.

you see that the grain of the wood is showing in one direction. I did not like this.
I changed the direction of the grain on some of the parts to achieve a kind of a bow:

I have read the posts several times and I must be dense as I can not see what the problem is. Could you give me a quick post or pictures that show the problem. I think the project is coming along quite nicely and can't wait to see it finished.

So ein Tag war heute. Wie schön, dass ich dann noch eine halbe Stunde Zeit hatte um den Flügelteil zu verändern, der mir vorher nicht gefallen hatte.
So gefiel es mir nicht:

weil es durch die durchgehende Maserung so "steif" aussieht. Dann habe ich ein paar Teile oben und unten neu gesägt, aber es gefällt mir immer noch nicht ganz (wenn auch ein bisschen besser) - die beiden Teile unten sind zu stark geneigt. Ich lasse sie jetzt so und werde sie kurz vor dem Schleifen nochmal ändern.

..........und ich dich mit den vielen Teilen - 1000 Innenschnitte können nicht verloren gehen, oder irgendwo rein rutschen, die bleiben immer am Platz, aber diese kleinen Teilchen eben schon - und das mit einer sehr hohen Wahrscheinlichkeit
Dein Fischadler wird bestimmt wieder wunderschön
